about

This song was over a year in the making, probably even older than “The Little Things”, and revolves around the concept of trying and ultimately failing to pacify yourself with online content. I hope you enjoy listening as much as I enjoyed making it. Special thanks once again to Owen Korzec for the hours of recording and mixing and Adam Chamberlain for mastering this next chapter of my musical adventures.

lyrics

Scrolling through my Instagram to find
Your reliving the things I had defined
I find myself from time to time
Looking back for things that you had defined
I guess that's part of the plan
But who's plan
Part of the plan
But not my plan
Sick of treating open wounds with alcohol
But it's what I'm told is best for myself
If pushing me away was best after all
Don't try to make me out of someone else
Stuck inside a steel cage, I am confined
But it will soon be forgotten in some time
I just feel like lashing out but who am I
To stoop down to the level of her kind
I guess that's part of the plan
But who's plan
Part of the plan
Not my plan
Sick of treating open wounds with alcohol
But it's what I'm told is best for myself
If pushing me away was best after all
Don't try to make me out of someone else
Taking changes on what I'd never do
But I'm trying everything I could for you
And with every word I've said I hope that you do
Find comfort feeling like the way I do
